Weather Synopsis for Friday & Monday
Forecast delayed this morning due to website outage
Another impluse moving along the quasi-stationarty SW-NE oriented frontal boundary draped over the Olympics/north Cascades and extending into central British Columbia will again bring periods of light rain and snow to the aforementioned areas. Some filtered sunshine and sunbreaks should be seen further south for the first half of the day.
An upper level trough will finally kick the frontal boundary east tonight...with precipitation spreading inland later Friday afternoon and increasing overnight. Post frontal showers in cooler westerly flow and the upper trough passing through in the late morning should enhance showers along the west slopes. Snow levels should lower to around 4000 feet... and a Puget Sound convergence may show up by mid-day, primarily in the Stevens Pass and north vicinity. Weak upper level ridging will begin building offshore Saturday afternoon and shower intensity and coverage should generally diminish with a drying and partial clearing trend likely Saturday night.

Extended Weather Synopsis for Monday night through Monday
The next frontal system should split as it approaches... and looks likely to make it's way to to the coast by mid-day with light precipitation beginning for the Cascades perhaps by Sunday afternoon with the front passing through Sunday night.
Cool upper level troughing in W-NW flow aloft should be in place Monday and Tuesday with the coldest air aloft seen in quite sometime. Since it's spring... this should help lead to generally unstable conditions, peaking in the afternoon and translating to a broad-brush of scattered light to occasionally moderate showers with snow levels down to 3000-4000 feet.
Extended Weather
Olympics, Washington Cascades and Mt. Hood area
Partly cloudy.
Increasing clouds with light rain and snow developing Olympics and spreading inland late afternoon.
