Weather Synopsis for Monday & Monday
Scattered showers and a weak Puget Sound convergence zone should come to an end Monday morning. You could experience an isolated shower later in the day, but these should be short-lived. Look for mostly sunny skies in many areas by the afternoon. The big story in the short-term forecast is the cold air. Snow levels hover near sea-level this morning. They will rise a few hundred feet during the day, but should bottom-out again overnight. Expect dry conditions Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning as a high-pressure ridge quickly moves over the area and pushes out any lingering moisture.
Tuesday will usher in a transition in the weather with a return to a more mild and active pattern. Look for clouds to spread over the region throughout the day with a few showers making it into the mountains later in the afternoon. As a warm front begins to approach the region, snow levels will begin to creep up but should remain below Pass levels until the overnight hours.
