Weather Synopsis for Saturday & Saturday

The cold upper low that has hung over the area for several days will finally start shifting to the inland NW today.  We are on the backside of the trough/low, so even with a mostly sunny start for many areas, there's enough lingering instability that cumulus clouds should build this afternoon and translate to partly to mostly sunny skies. There is a slight chance of an afternoon mountain snow shower, especially closer to the low down near Mt. Hood.  Temperatures/freezing levels will be seasonally cool once again for early March. 

Upper level ridging upstream of the Pacific Northwest over central British Columbia will shift toward our region later tonight and Sunday.  Sunday should be warmer and sunnier than Saturday with generally light winds at least across Washington State.
