Weather Synopsis for Tuesday & Friday
On Tuesday a front will cross the Pacific Northwest from west to east. Slightly elevated snow levels this morning will be followed by lowering snow levels and a wind shift from southerly to westerly in the afternoon and night. On Wednesday, a shortwave ridge moves across the Pacific Northwest with a temporary decrease in winds and precipitation. On Wednesday night, another front approaches the Pacific Northwest coastal waters.

Extended Weather Synopsis for Friday night through Friday
On Thursday, a WSW flow carries a weakening front across the Northwest. On Friday a front approaches over the Pacific Northwest coastal waters and some moisture will arrive mainly to the Olympics and Northwest Cascades on a SW flow in advance of this system. The same approaching (relatively strong) front should move over the Pacific Northwest on Saturday.
Extended Weather
All Zones
On Thursday, moderate rain and snow develops first in the Olympics and Northwest Cascades in the early morning hours and spreads to the remainder of the Cascades by later in the morning. The rain and snow greatly decreases by afternoon and evening.
On Friday, light rain and snow brushes the forecasting zones, mainly in the Olympics and North Cascades. Moderate rain arrives Friday night.
Moderate to heavy rain on Saturday becomes showers on Saturday night.
